Nineteen of Medvedev's twenty-one championships have been earned on hard surfaces
A resurgent the Russian player secured his maiden title for nearly 30 months with success over Corentin Moutet in the Almaty Open championship match.
The athlete, a former world number one, has had a torrid year, managing just one match at the big events and experiencing a setback at the US Open.
His varied form on the tennis tour - and issues with his serve in specific - resulted in him falling of the top ten and ultimately separating with former trainer his previous coach.
Currently working with Thomas Johansson and Goetzke, he has consistently progressed in the recent weeks - culminating in a closely contested competitive victory over challenger Corentin Moutet.
This represents Medvedev's initial title following the Italian tournament and first on a hardcourt after March of 2023.
Success also means he has secured twenty-one victories at twenty-one distinct competitions.
"This marks the first occasion I'm at a tournament with my two daughters together, so to secure a trophy is especially meaningful," stated tennis professional Daniil Medvedev.
"This championship is in honour of my child my daughter, because the maiden victory I won when my first daughter Alisa was born was for her."
Medvedev, the past champion, had lost his previous six title deciders, including in that event earlier this year.
The player's defensive strategy and regular reactions on the tennis court had led observers to doubt if his skill to perform at the elite level was concluded.
Yet the 29-year-old has implemented adjustments in the last few weeks, striving to come to the net and perform positively, backed up by an improved serve.
The champion fought back from a break down in the initial set against the challenging opponent, securing 4 of the last five games to go ahead.
The pair exchanged break points in the middle set before the Frenchman, striving for his first ATP Tour title, gained dominance to create a decider.
He rescued 4 initial chances in a competitive final set before the champion broke to 15 to secure the win.
Fittingly, the winner secured the title with a rally at the net area, with the Frenchman incapable to control a volley after two hours and 38 minutes.
